A Vodka or Gin Gimlet is typically served in a coupe glass, which is recognized for its broad, shallow bowl and stem. This glass facilitates the experience of sipping a cocktail that is both aromatic and visually appealing. The coupe design allows the bartender to create a stylish presentation, highlighting the clarity and color of the drink, while the wide rim enhances the drinker's ability to enjoy the fragrance of the citrus elements commonly found in a Gimlet.

The expected choice of a lowball glass is more appropriate for cocktails served over ice or those that require a larger volume to accommodate mixers and additional ingredients. Highball and pint glasses serve different types of drinks, typically those that require more mixer or are served in larger volumes. Therefore, the coupe is the ideal glass for a Gimlet, designed specifically for serving spirits in a sophisticated setting.
